Job description

If you are a proactive professional who excels at leading complex investigations and wants to make a visible impact, consider the Quality Engineer position at SV Microwave. This is an exciting opportunity for an assertive, analytical individual to join a growing company where you can truly influence our quality processes. This is not an entry-level role; we want someone ready to take ownership of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, drive technical decisions, and confidently lead communication with our customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead RCCA Investigations: Own product failure investigations. Lead cross-functional teams to perform deep-dive root cause analysis and implement robust CAPAs.
  • Customer & Supplier Interface: Confidently drive the company's response to customer complaints and lead technical discussions to resolve quality issues.
  • Audit & QMS Support: Support AS9100 audits, customer surveys, and maintain SOPs and Work Instructions (WIs) to strengthen our QMS.
  • Technical Floor Support: Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, incoming, and final inspection to resolve active production issues.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical work experience).
  • Practical experience with 8D, RCCA, and CAPA frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently present data and defend quality decisions to customers and management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools, specifically PFMEA and PPAP.
  • Experience with RF coaxial connectors, components, and cable assemblies.
  • Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems and auditing.
