Job description

Health Informatics Specialist will be responsible for providing analytic support and quantifying business requirements and performing analyses, forecasting, and mining of data to support cross-functional teams and stakeholders. They will review patients’ records for timeliness, completeness and accuracy while communicating with cross-functional teams as appropriate. The Health Informatics Specialist will ensure that there is quality maintenance of the patient information/medical records within applicable laws, policies, rules, and regulations. They will also perform other duties as assigned or required.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field.
  2. One (1) year of work experience in an acute care health information management setting
  3. Working knowledge of medical terminology
  4. Demonstrate advanced ability to operate a computer, multiple software applications, and other office equipment as necessary.
  5. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, hospital personnel and co-workers

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Clinical experience.
  2. R.H.I.A or R.H.I.T certified

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $25.15 to $41.39. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
