Job description

Colwen Hotels Portsmouth Collection, including the AC Hotel Portsmouth, Residence Inn Portsmouth, and Hampton Inn Portsmouth, is seeking an entry-level, well-organized Sales Coordinator to provide the necessary support to the Sales Team. The successful candidate will become the point of reference for clients and guests by managing room blocks, groups, and billing. Join an incredible team with an opportunity for future growth!
General Responsibilities:
  • Assists the sales team with leads, group detailing, site tours
  • Coordinate the sales team by managing room blocks, groups, and schedules, distributes BEO's, group billing, organize filing, and communicating relevant information
  • Respond to client needs throughout the sales process
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary
  • Responsible for sales office coverage
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team including, but not limited to, answering phones, correspondence, assigning activities, assisting in site tours and reports, room blocks
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of sales-related material, including room block billing
  • Must be able to show initiative including guests and operation needs
  • Prepare written correspondence, group resume, weekly BEO's and reports and other reports as requested by the sales team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Previous related experience, Hilton and Marriott preferred
  • Previous Customer Service a plus
  • Organized, strong ability to multi-task, detail-oriented
  • Energetic and Highly Personable
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to compile, analyze and communicate data
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to deal with difficult guests and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Excellent Time Management
  • Familiar with common computer software programs; ability to learn new computer software programs
  • Ability to worked varied hours, based on business needs
