Utilities CADD Technician

  • *** This is a hybrid position based in Carrollton, TX ***

Location: Carrollton, TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay: $20 - $24 per hour, depending on experience
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - primarily office-based during training, with more opportunities to work from home as knowledge and independence increase.

ARS is seeking an entry-level CADD Technician with little to no experience. This is a learn-as-you-go position designed to develop into a fully experienced CADD Technician over time.

The position will begin with Records Research, including reviewing utility records, plans, maps, and other project information. As knowledge and experience grow, the CADD Technician will learn to use CAD software to draw existing utilities from the records into project plans.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable and able to work well with a team
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and receive feedback
  • Ability to work from the Carrollton office during the initial training period

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn Records Research processes
  • Review plans, maps, utility records, and other project information
  • Participate in hands-on CADD training
  • Add existing utility information to project drawings
  • Follow ARS drafting standards and quality-control procedures
