Entry-Level Manufacturing Designer

ICM is looking for an entry-level Manufacturing Designer who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to detailed design and drafting work that supports high-quality equipment, fabrication, and project execution. Position Purpose:

Responsible for providing entry level design and drafting support to Manufacturing Design.

Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

  • Complete assigned projects on-time and accurately; follow directions, scope and procedures provided by Team Leaders and managers.
  • Perform design-drafting assignments using AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawing techniques.
  • Develop accurate Bill of Material documents.
  • Follow and participate in development of engineering standards, format, and procedures to create, update, revise and modify drawings; communicate requirements of standards and procedures to others.
  • Utilize and create sketches, notes, and other input material to generate drawings.
  • Build equipment models based on vendor/specification documents.
  • Learn and adapt quickly to assigned project tasks, proceeding independently to initiate those tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Incorporate safety, operability, maintainability, and constructability in design work.
  • Report changes and mistakes to lead, identify changes and manage the revision process effectively.
  • Responsible for quality of work produced and follow methods of continuous improvement. Make recommendations for specific improvement opportunities.
  • Perform work according to ICM quality policies.

Education/Certification:

Associates degree required

Skills/Abilities:

Possess strong computer skills utilizing MS Office and AutoCAD (current version or within last 3 versions) 2D and 3D, Inventor, and Navisworks proficiency preferred. Proficiency test may be required as part of the interview.
