Job description

Weyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for entry level production team members for our Buckhannon, WV Engineered Lumber facility.  We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety and have a desire to work in a manufacturing facility while maintaining a positive attitude and good work ethic.  We offer a competitive starting wage, $19.83 per hour, along with Gainsharing bonus opportunities. Rewarding Benefit package which includes paid vacation, 401K plan, life insurance options as well as medical, dental, and vision coverage with 97% of premium cost paid by Weyerhaeuser.

Key Functions:
  • Total Commitment to working safe and following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Clean production area - sweep and remove debris.
  • Load and unload items from machines.
  • Feed or place items onto equipment for processing.
  • Perform preventive maintenance such as lubricating equipment.
  • Interpreting work instructions adequately and successfully completing tasks as delegated.
  • Safe start up and shut down of equipment in assigned area of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • All Applicants must have a high school education or GED.
  • Steady documented work history.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift, day & nights, including weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
  • Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Willing to perform essential physical functions of the position, which may include climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting (50lbs), bending, and performing repetitive movement tasks.
  • Must be willing and able to fit test and wear a respirator.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment testing process.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
The following qualification is preferred:Two years employment experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
