Job description

Vast is looking for a(n) Manufacturing Operations Analyst, reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing Operations, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of human-rated space stations. 

This is a unique and high-impact role at the intersection of data analysis and manufacturing operations. You will be strategically embedded within Haven-1 Manufacturing and Test, turning complex operational data into clear insights that drive continuous improvement, faster data-driven decisions, and measurable impact across the program.

This will be a full-timeexempt position located in our Long Beach location. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Analyze and monitor the flow of avionics hardware through manufacturing and test operations, providing real-time visibility into schedule adherence, build priorities, and potential risks
  • Serve as the embedded analyst for the manufacturing and test team, developing deep operational knowledge while acting as the key link between the centralized support teams and the shop floor to gather feedback, prioritize requests, and educate the team on new tools and feature updates
  • Mature department KPIs to ensure consistent, accurate, and meaningful tracking and reporting across the team
  • Develop and drive a long-term roadmap for key analytical initiatives including downtime tracking, production efficiency reporting, and other data visibility projects
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to build comprehensive ROI models that assess the financial impact, feasibility, and strategic value of new manufacturing and test asset acquisitions
  • Stay current on emerging AI tools and technologies, proactively identifying and bringing new capabilities to the team to enhance analytical workflows and operational decision-making
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in an analyst role
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • 1+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience SQL/ Python
  • 1+ years of experience with Tableau/ Grafana/ PowerBi
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestone
