Job description

Price Industries Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Suwanee, GA. You will be responsible for improving the bottom line by reducing non-value-added labor and working with all members of management to reduce material cost. The position will be the leader of determining product cost opportunities that can result in higher GP% or additional business. This position works with all areas of manufacturing to include the Design Engineering, Maintenance/Tooling, Purchasing and Production Control departments.
Responsibilities
  • Being the key resources in determining true product costing on all the process points in the GRD Value Stream
  • Lead the efforts in the determining labor and material cost of the products produces throughout the GRD Value Stream and determining opportunities for reduction.
  • Identify and implement cost savings in the GRD Value Stream in the areas of labor and material
  • Actively support manufacturing in any areas of process improvement as needed.
  • Provide technical support to all Lean Manufacturing efforts and be and play an active role in the training of Lean Concepts.
  • Identify and implement cost savings in the Value Stream in the areas of labor and material.
  • Identify and implement capital projects.
  • Provide documentation support for as required for manufacturing.
  • Identify and support cost improvement projects as directed
  • Provide support to all departments as required
  • Support Continuing improvement initiative

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing-based engineering role, this can be an entry-level role with a new graduate.
  • Demonstrated computer-based skills and knowledge in a manufacturing equipment development or support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and implement project plans.
  • Understanding of principles and practices in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on process improvements and cost reduction.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and contract specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to research and identify commercially available equipment and process solutions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytic skills.
  • Prior work in a Team Environment that utilizes Lean Tools.
  • Strong understanding of material and labor costing.
  • Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • AutoCAD technical drawing software or equivalent preferred
