Position Overview:
An entry level position designed to provide assistance with the daily tasks and responsibilities of the department by performing needed tasks while following outlined departmental procedures and company policies. Always ensure the 7 R's of logistics are met (Right product, in the Right quantity, in the Right condition, at the Right place, at the Right time, to the Right customer, at the Right price.)
Responsibilities:
  • Take calls for the department
  • Perform all housekeeping tasks.
  • Support internal/external customers.

Shipping Responsibilities
  • Quality review of all Human Tissue or Medical device orders prior to shipment.
  • Become familiar/proficient with domestic shipments.
  • Use and navigate systems and applications used by Shipping (Lotus Notes, SAP, Microsoft, MAX (Austin) etc.)
  • Book and route product with approved vendors on provided portal.
  • Receive medical devices and other ambient products into finished goods inventory per Quality procedure.
  • Receive and transfer Human Tissue product into appropriate freezers (Kennesaw only) per Quality procedure.
  • Assist with (FedEx/UPS) shipments for other Artivion departments.
  • Support with On-Call rotation.
  • Become proficient with the charging of Dry-Shippers (Kennesaw)
  • Ensure department has adequate supplies for daily distribution of product.

Receiving Responsibilities.
  • Receive and verify product per PO into SAP.
    • Enter batch per SOP (Vendor/Artivion/(MLN (Austin)).
    • Ensure Self Life Expiration dates are entered per procedure.
  • Receive and re-stack product per SOP.
  • Ensure all product is labeled per procedure (in-receipts/quarantined).

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a High School diploma, some collegiate education preferred.
  • 1-2 years' relevant experience
  • Computer skills (Microsoft suites, SAP).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed and organized.
  • Ability to lift 70lbs several times a day.
