We are hiring Project Coordinators to support our construction operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, friendly, ambitious, safety-conscious and comfortable taking initiative. As a Project Coordinator, you'll work closely with both field and office teams, supporting projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on position with direct involvement in day-to-day site activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between project managers, office staff, subcontractors and field crews.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture. Complete inspections, toolbox talks, track compliance and ensure all paperwork is complete.
  • Manage locate requests (including first calls), monitor validity periods and ensure information is communicated and understood by crews before work proceeds.
  • Understand project budgets and monitor costs as the work progresses. Review final costs against estimates.
  • Actively assist with onsite labour tasks, training and day to day field support as required.
  • Assist with resource planning including material quantities, equipment needs and crew scheduling.
  • Attend project meetings and communicate changes as required.
  • Review drawings and job scope documents, assist with site measurements, grades, survey support and documentation.
  • Track QC testing, sample availability and ensure results are communicated promptly.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field. A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans and technical documents.
  • Learn and apply traffic accommodation plans (TAS), Eco Plans and Alberta Transportation requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills and a valid Class 5 license.
