Job description

Construction Project Manager - Modular Homes & Site Development
Location: Edmonton or Lloydminster, Alberta
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Travel: Regular travel throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan
The Opportunity
Our client is an established Western Canadian manufacturer of Ready-to-Move and panelized homes. With continued growth across Alberta and Saskatchewan, they are creating a new Project Manager position to oversee modular housing projects from contract through site preparation, delivery and completion.
This role is heavily focused on making sure each site is ready before the home arrives. You will coordinate excavation, grading, foundations, piles, utilities, site access, inspections and delivery logistics while keeping customers, contractors and internal teams aligned.
The ideal candidate has experience with residential foundations and site preparation and knows how to spot potential problems before they affect the construction or delivery schedule.
Experience specifically within RTM or modular housing would be valuable, but it is not required. Candidates from residential construction, homebuilding, foundation contractors, excavation, piling, civil construction or site-services companies are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
  • Manage modular and multi-home projects from contract handoff through site preparation, delivery, placement and completion
  • Coordinate excavation, grading, drainage, piles, foundations, utilities, permits and inspections
  • Visit project sites to confirm they are ready before the scheduled home delivery
  • Identify deficiencies and make sure corrective work is completed on time
  • Coordinate general contractors, foundation crews, civil contractors, movers, utilities and local trades
  • Review project scopes and customer commitments with Sales and Operations
  • Build and maintain project schedules, milestones and action plans
  • Coordinate internal workflow through design, estimating, approvals, procurement, production and transportation
  • Confirm transportation routes, site access and building-placement requirements
  • Manage several projects at different stages without losing track of details or deadlines
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and provide clear project updates
  • Build respectful working relationships with First Nation housing departments, community representatives and local contractors
  • Identify schedule risks early and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them
What You Bring
  • Experience coordinating residential foundations and site preparation
  • Knowledge of excavation, grading, drainage, piles, concrete foundations, utilities, permits and inspections
  • Project management or construction coordination experience within residential construction, modular housing, homebuilding, foundation construction, civil work or site services
  • Experience managing subcontractors, trades, schedules and customer expectations
  • The confidence to have direct conversations when a site is not ready or a project is falling behind
  • Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills
  • A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm when plans or schedules change
  • The ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple departments
  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly
  • Experience with project-management, scheduling or CRM systems
Experience That Could Be a Good Fit
Your background may come from:
  • RTM, modular, manufactured or panelized home construction
  • Residential homebuilding or land development
  • Foundation, piling, concrete or excavation contractors
  • Civil construction or site-services coordination
  • A larger renovation or restoration company managing multiple trades and projects
Additional Assets
  • Experience working with First Nation communities or Indigenous housing programs
  • Experience coordinating remote or northern construction projects
  • Knowledge of modular-home delivery, craning, placement and completion
  • Experience with Buildertrend, Pipedrive or similar systems
  • Education in construction management, civil engineering technology, architectural technology or a related field
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Join a growing modular and panelized housing business
  • Step into a newly created role with real ownership
  • Help build and improve the company's project-delivery process
  • Work on meaningful housing projects across Western Canada
  • Collaborate with experienced sales, design, manufacturing and operations teams
  • Build your career as the business continues to expand
