Description


This entry-level position's primary objective is to build the skills necessary to become a Financial Analyst in the Asset/Liability Management (ALM) space. This includes understanding bank and credit union financial statements and data, learning to navigate and use internal software to create robust simulations, interpreting financial model results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and building strong communication skills in order to service all stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Understand bank and credit union financial statements and basic knowledge of industry-related products
  • Become proficient in building interest rate risk models using DCG's proprietary modeling software
  • Acquire the skills/learn the processes needed to input, audit, and reconcile data into interest rate risk models
  • Learn to accurately report, analyze, and clearly communicate all components of ALM (interest rate risk, liquidity, capital, etc.) for various institution types and assets sizes
  • Attend quarterly conference calls with Financial Analysts and bank/credit union management to discuss model inputs and develop meaningful assumptions 
  • Provide accurate and insightful one-page written assessment of financial institution's risk position as it pertains to interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and capital
  • Assist in educating clients in regards to understanding the ALM modeling process and analysis, as well as answer any questions related to ALM
  • Develop strong relationships with all DCG stakeholders 
  • Attend training sessions offered by DCG
  • Attend quarterly ALCO meetings as needed or requested
