Job description

This is a summer job for a college student going into their Junior or Senior year in College with strong experience with Python and Linux. Also they must be in Tuscon, AZ to work onsite 3 days a week. I don't expect I will get 80 candidates on this job. If you can help, much appreciated and I will work quickly to call them.

What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Software Developer with foundational skills in Python and a working knowledge of the Linux environment. The ideal candidate will assist in developing and maintaining software tools, automating tasks, and managing storage-related issues on Linux-based systems. You will work closely with senior developers and system administrators to support operational efficiency and application development. This position is open to students on summer break.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Write and maintain Python scripts to automate routine tasks and support internal tools.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot storage usage and disk space issues on Linux systems.
  • Assist in code reviews, testing, and debugging software applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Deployment of software to robotics systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Basic understanding of Linux command-line tools and file system management, including bash scripting.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Desired Skills & Experience:
