What you'll do

As an Operating Model Consultant, you'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams to solve complex business challenges and help HLS clients transform how their organizations operate. You'll contribute to high-profile transformations while developing expertise in health and life sciences operating design and business transformation. Our OpModel Consultants are responsible for:

  • Designing future-state operating models, including organizational structures, governance, capabilities, and ways of working.
  • Analyzing complex business challenges and developing practical recommendations, business cases, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Facilitating stakeholder discussions and workshops, working with clients from operational teams to executive leadership.
  • Assessing organizational capabilities, operating models, and ways of working to identify opportunities for improved performance and transformation.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

Successful candidates will come from consulting, healthcare, life sciences, transformation, business analysis, organizational design, or strategy backgrounds.

  • You have at minimum 2+ years of professional experience in consulting, health and life sciences, transformation, or a related industry role. We're open to early-career professionals and career transitioners, but this is not an entry-level position.
  • You've supported clinical, R&D, medical, regulatory, commercial, or enterprise transformation initiatives within pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, or healthcare organizations.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. You consistently synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and insights.
  • You're known to be proactive and have a desire to solve difficult challenges with creativity and structure.

Experience in the following areas is a key indicator that you'll be a strong match for our team:
