Job description
Under direct supervision, provides basic entry-level interpreting/transliterating services for students, faculty, staff, and/or visitors requiring such services. Works under the close guidance and supervision of a certified Sign Language Interpreter. Works strictly on an on-call basis, as required or as scheduled.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs basic entry-level interpreting/transliterating services.
- Follows instructions and receives guidance and training from certified SL interpreters on a task-by-task basis.
- Abides by the Code of Professional Conduct as set forth by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
