Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician
Unitex is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our manufacturing team in Lawrence, MA..
Compensation: $27.00/hr to $32.00/hr. The salary range for this position is $27.00/hour to $32.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.
Schedule: To be discussed during screening prior to interview, based on seniority per Union Contract.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and press machines, to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and work with the team to resolve them promptly.
  • Assist in repairing or replacing faulty components, parts, or systems as needed.
  • Follow maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Document maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory updates.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician or a similar role in an industrial setting, preferably in the laundry industry.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to industrial equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques for laundry equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams related to industrial laundry equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety practices and protocols in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Solid attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate maintenance records.
