Job description

Position Overview

A prestigious NYC law firm is seeking an energetic, highly organized Recruitment Assistant for a temporary role to support our Legal Talent team with full-lifecycle legal recruitment and key administrative operations. This position offers direct exposure to law student recruitment, lateral hiring, and summer associate program execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Law Student Recruitment: Support all aspects of campus recruiting (OCI), including creating digital binders, greeting candidates, managing recruiting databases, scheduling callback interviews, drafting offer letters, and coordinating outreach.
  • Law School Outreach & Events: Assist school team leads with event logistics, campus sponsorships, candidate follow-ups, and potential campus travel.
  • Summer Associate Program: Help coordinate onboarding, orientation, social events, evaluations, RSVPs, and administrative logistics for the summer program.
  • Talent Office Support: Provide administrative assistance across lateral, LLM, clerk, and visiting attorney hiring, including database management (PeopleSoft, FloRecruit, etc.) and file maintenance.
  • Special Projects: Assist with recruitment marketing, attorney profiles, survey responses, candidate gifting, and cross-departmental initiatives (Learning & Development, Associate Development).


Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous internship experience in recruitment/talent acquisition OR 1–3 years of professional recruiting experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with recruitment databases and HR systems is a plus.
