JOB SUMMARY
The role of a Risk Management Administrative Assistant provides support for non-clinical claims that includes workers compensation, general liability, auto and property claims. Responds to customer needs by consulting with others as appropriate or by following established guidelines.
This position will be hybrid working 4 days in office and 1 day remote.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties:

*Responsible for handling workers compensation claims that include needle sticks and body fluid exposures

*Performs a variety of support which may include generating reports, process outgoing daily mail, and assist with basic financial/benefit calculations

*Process timely payments on claim files

*Serves as a contact person for medical providers and onboarding of new providers into Risk Management and Accounting System

*Schedule medical appointments

*Attend meetings in person when necessary

*Compile, coordinate and organize the collection of data that is received by fax or mail

*Request medical notes and work status reports

*Request wage statements and complete state form

*Document work performed on claims in Risk Management System

*May assist workers compensation team when needed

*Assist with phone coverage for the department
