Entry Level Lean Manufacturing information

How to start lean manufacturing?

To start a career in entry-level lean manufacturing, gain understanding of lean principles such as waste reduction and process efficiency, and develop skills in problem-solving and teamwork. Obtain relevant certifications like Lean Six Sigma or OSHA safety training, and seek entry-level positions in manufacturing environments to gain practical experience. Familiarity with tools like value stream mapping and continuous improvement methods is also beneficial.

What are the 5 C's of lean?

The 5 C's of lean are a set of principles used to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, especially important in lean manufacturing roles. They include Clear, Clean, Concise, Consistent, and Correct, which help reduce waste and improve productivity by promoting visual management and standard work practices.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Entry-level lean manufacturing roles typically do not pay $4,000 a week; high-paying jobs without a degree often include skilled trades like electricians, commercial pilots, or sales managers, which may require certifications or experience. Most positions offering such high weekly pay usually demand specialized skills, experience, or licensing rather than entry-level roles.

What jobs pay $700 a day?

Entry level lean manufacturing roles typically do not pay $700 a day; such high daily rates are more common in specialized or senior positions. Jobs that can reach this pay level often require advanced skills, certifications, or experience, such as manufacturing managers, process engineers, or consultants working on high-value projects. For most entry-level manufacturing roles, daily pay is significantly lower, usually in the range of standard hourly wages multiplied by the number of work hours.

What is the difference between Entry Level Lean Manufacturing vs Entry Level Manufacturing Technician?

AspectEntry Level Lean ManufacturingEntry Level Manufacturing Technician
CertificationsLean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred)None required, but technical certifications helpful
Work EnvironmentProduction floors focused on process improvementManufacturing plants performing assembly or fabrication
Industry UsageCommon in industries emphasizing efficiency and waste reductionWidespread across various manufacturing sectors
Job FocusProcess optimization, waste reduction, continuous improvementOperating machinery, quality checks, basic maintenance

Entry Level Lean Manufacturing roles focus on improving production processes through waste reduction and efficiency strategies, often requiring knowledge of lean principles. Entry Level Manufacturing Technicians perform hands-on tasks like operating equipment and quality inspections. While both roles are entry-level and found in manufacturing environments, Lean Manufacturing positions emphasize process improvement, whereas Manufacturing Technicians focus on direct production tasks.

Job description

Job Overview:

Weโ€™re looking for motivated Mechanical Engineers who are ready to jump into the world of precision manufacturing! Whether you're a recent graduate or early in your career, this is your chance to grow within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Youโ€™ll gain hands-on experience in CNC machining, Lean Manufacturing, and process engineeringโ€”all while working side-by-side with talented professionals who want to see you succeed.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Start on the Shop Floor: Begin by running production and performing inspections to understand the process from the ground up.
  • Advance into Setup and Machining: Learn CNC setup and machining as you grow your technical skill set.
  • Collaborate on Process Design: Assist in the creation and execution of manufacturing processes, including:
    • Raw material selection
    • Tooling and fixture design
    • Process planning
    • Inspection and verification methods
  • Support Continuous Improvement Efforts:
    • CNC process optimization
    • Gage design and fabrication
    • Robotic cell programming and operations
    • Lean Manufacturing initiatives
  • Ensure Quality and Efficiency: Maintain high standards for part quality, cleanliness, and productivity.
  • Apply Engineering Principles: Utilize Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and core manufacturing concepts on real-world parts.
  • Document and Communicate: Track tooling expectations, document processes, and support high-quality outcomes for our customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or actively pursuing one!)
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Reside within commuting distance to Willoughby, OH
  • Positive attitude with a desire to be part of a strong company culture
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, flexible, and eager to grow
  • Solid problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing conceptsโ€”and a strong desire to learn by doing

Weโ€™re committed to building a team of hands-on problem solvers who are eager to grow, contribute, and make a difference. If this sounds like you, weโ€™d love to connect and share more about the opportunity.
