Job description

DESCRIPTION
Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc. is seeking General Landscape Laborers to work with our construction team. These seasonal positions run the duration of our operating season, which is typically from mid-March through mid-December (when the weather turns inclement), and offer 40 hours per week. Overtime is available, but not required. We offer a consistent seasonal work schedule, the potential for performance-based bonuses, and opportunities for advancement. Compensation package is based on experience. Current openings are for full-time or part-time seasonal positions.
The ideal candidate has 1 to 2 years of labor experience, but entry level positions are available. Must be able to lift heavy materials repeatedly. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred, but English-only or Spanish-only skills are acceptable.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform landscape construction tasks (including grading, hardscaping, planting, etc.)
  • Safely operate equipment (including skid loader, mini-excavator and small engine equipment)

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a current and valid Driver's License
  • A positive attitude
  • Ability to operate various equipment (skid loader, mini excavator and small engine equipment) to complete job duties; Must have experience or be able and willing to learn
  • Physical condition that allows you to meet the demands of daily tasks, including the ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance
  • English/Spanish bilingual is preferred but not required
