General Laborer
Job Purpose
Understand and safely operate all standard shop tools and equipment. Maintain a clean and presentable shop atmosphere. Duties may include the following: Painting, Operating Heavy Machinery, Sandblasting, Cleaning, Grinding Parts, and the list goes on!
Tasks, Job Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
  • Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
  • Work as a member of a team to accomplish goals set forth through project specific objectives.
  • Participate in all required monthly safety meetings. Thoroughly understand and apply all concepts, when necessary, while working in the shop and in the field.
  • Able to safely operate all standard shop equipment and tools (i.e., overhead cranes, forklifts, grinders, press brakes, shears, geka, wheelabrator, etc.) Ask for assistance as a refresher, if needed.
  • Follows all in-house quality procedures for in-process and final inspections.
  • Responsible for operating the Sandblasting booth efficiently, working to accomplish goals set forth through specific objectives. Understand blast profiles.
  • Responsible for sweeping floors and returning tools to crib and tool carts.
  • Responsible for taking out garbage's and recycle bins in all bays, machine shop, and crane barn.
  • Able to setup a welding machine properly, when necessary.
  • Help assist the Maintenance department to provide upkeep of all facilities (i.e., mowing grass, snow removal, etc.)
  • May be trained to operate heavy machines to move goods and products around shop areas.
  • Work as an all-around team player, to assist in various areas when needed while working in a safe manner.
  • EDUCATION: Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must have OUTSTANDING attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be motivated for success.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
