This vast list of project experience includes services for virtually every type of public and private client associated with industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects.
Ardaman has the following opportunity available:
FIELD TECHNICIAN
Our Houston office has a full-time entry level position available for a field technician to work on a wide range of geotechnical engineering activities. Responsibilities includes: sampling/testing of soils, logging/observation of boreholes and test pits, instrumentation and field testing, laboratory testing, basic engineering tasks, and site visits to construction projects throughout Houston and Southeastern US. Typical duties require 80 to 90 percent of time to be spent performing tasks at field locations. Experience preferred but will train. Local candidates preferred. No relocation.
Qualifications:
  • Geotechnical drilling observation
  • Earthwork and/or concrete construction
  • CMT laboratory soil, aggregate and concrete testing
  • Geotechnical lab testing or geotechnical field experience
  • Strong reading, writing, and math skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Safety minded on all work aspects
  • Excellent driving record within company standards
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work weekends and extended hours, when required
  • Ability to work on out of town assignments
  • Must pass company background checks, drug screen, and physical exam
  • Must be physically fit and able to spend extended hours working outdoors in a wide range of climate conditions.
