Junior Engineer - Linux Systems Admin/Engineer

Salary: $85k-$120k + bonus

Location: Woodridge, IL

Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years max of professional experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, or Trade Support
  • Strong administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong application troubleshooting support is a must
  • Experience supporting Linux Server environments
  • Some knowledge of Windows server
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure and applications
  • Comfortable working in high-pressure production environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Database SQL experience
  • Bachelor's degree


Bonus Points

  • Experience supporting low-latency or high-performance trading systems
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting systems
  • Exposure to co-location or on-premises data center environments
