Job description

Entry-Level IT Network Technician
Location: North Haven, CT (Onsite)
Pay: $18-$20/hr
Ongoing role with no end date. Full time hours
Must-Have Requirements
  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA (or actively studying toward one)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, DHCP, routers, and switches
  • Comfortable working onsite in a warehouse environment
  • Willing to assist with warehouse operations when technical work is completed
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Overview
Our client is seeking an Entry-Level Network Technician to support device configuration, network connectivity, and equipment preparation in a warehouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in IT and networking.
The primary focus of this role is technical work, including staging laptops, configuring devices, and supporting basic network-related tasks. During slower periods or when technical work is caught up, technicians will assist the warehouse team with organizing inventory, preparing shipments, and maintaining an efficient workspace.
No professional IT experience is required. Candidates with technical training, certifications, home lab experience, military experience, warehouse experience, or a strong interest in networking are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Configure and stage laptops, desktops, and network-connected devices
  • Connect equipment to networks and verify connectivity
  • Perform basic troubleshooting related to IP addressing, network access, and device configuration
  • Assist with inventory tracking and asset management
  • Test and prepare equipment for deployment to customer sites
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configured devices
  • Support warehouse organization and inventory activities as needed
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and equipment preparation during downtime
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and networking fundamentals
  • CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or currently pursuing certification preferred
  • Comfortable working with computers, hardware, and technology
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift and move equipment when needed
  • Comfortable standing and moving throughout the workday
  • Positive attitude and team-first mentality

Preferred Backgrounds
