About the role:
We are currently seeking a budtender who demonstrates strong potential to grow into a leadership role. 
The role will begin with a probationary period at another location, ensuring alignment with our standards before any advancement. As a budtender, you are the face of Nectar! You are responsible for ensuring each customer leaves our stores with the right products they need and a desire to come back and visit us. Our budtenders are the key to ensuring our customers have a positive experience in our stores, whether they are new customers or one of our existing long-term regulars. 
Budtender Responsibilities: 
  • Enhancing the customer experience by providing educated product recommendations. 
  • Embracing the Nectar culture by promoting our deals, rewards program, and customer satisfaction. 
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting store environment for team members and customers. 
  • Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and that the store is well-maintained.
  • Promoting a positive work environment that is customer service-oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and continuously expand on knowledge of our products, brands and vendors.
  • Accurately utilize the Point of Sale (Dutchie POS) in person and for online/phone orders. 
  • Detailed and accurate cash handling and proper application of various discounts. 
  • Strong understanding of our deals and promotions to effectively explain them to customers.
  • Maintains accuracy and confidentiality when inputting Recreational and Medical customer information into our system to conduct sales. 
  • Verifying customers Identification and/or Medical cards before each sale to ensure compliance. 
  • Other miscellaneous store duties vary depending on the location and store needs at any given moment, as assigned by the Management Team.

Compensation: This role starts at $16.30 an hour plus nightly cash tips.

Qualifications:
  • Must be willing to work weekends
  • Must possess a Marijuana Workers' Permit or the ability to obtain one at your own expense
  • Must have a reliable method of transportation to get to work
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills
  • Desire to learn about our products and cannabis therapies
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, point-of-sale software, and cash management is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and a team-player mentality
  • Fun attitude and strong work ethic
  • Lift up to 40 pounds and stand for the entirety of a full shift (5-10 hours)
