The Opportunity

The QA Technician role will be assisting in daily quality and food safety related functions, and additional tasks assigned by the Quality Supervisor.

What You'll Do

  • Conducts daily quality and food safety checks to ensure compliance with customer requirements, product specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts post-cleaning verification, pre-operational inspection of equipment and facilities and line clearance.
  • Conducts product shelf-life analysis and maintains sample inventory.
  • Collects environmental swabs and prepares samples for 3rd party lab analysis.
  • Reports all product nonconformities and processing issues to Quality and Plant Management, as it relates to product quality and/or food safety.
  • Performs computer data entry and statistical analysis of Quality KPI's.
  • Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements, SQF, HACCP and GMP activities at all levels of operation.
  • Helps maintaining quality manuals/SOPs, production/processing forms and records to meet established standards per SQF system.
  • Participates in internal food safety audits.
  • Other jobs as assigned by the Quality Management.

What You'll Need

  • Associate degree in science/work experience equivalent.
  • At least one-year experience in quality role in food manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP and/or PCQI certification is a plus
  • Lab experience preferred, but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates can be considered.
