Job Summary

The Senior Manager, WW Inventory Management is responsible for leading and delivering accurate worldwide inventory plans for the business. This individual manages the global inventory planning and management process to drive optimal levels of inventory for the business. He / she is accountable for the executive inventory management business review and identifies drivers of key performance metrics and action plans to meet / exceed business targets in this area. This position will work very closely with the Regional Planning, Supply Network Planning, and Product Planning and Logistics organizations to ensure that inventory levels are optimized, and the supply chain is delivering all commitments in this area.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Inventory strategic planning and business planning process.
  • Inventory commit / projection process.
  • Management and coordination of inventory optimization programs for all inventory locations.
  • The deployment of 'best in class' inventory management practices.
  • Assuring that business processes ensure the right item, in the right quantity is available without maintaining excessive stock levels or compromising patient care and safety.
  • Training and education of the supply chain team on the principles of inventory management and optimization. Developing appropriate key performance indicators to monitor and validate successes.
  • Maintaining and developing processes and tools to analyze and review improvements in the inventory planning of new product introductions and life cycle management events.
  • Collaborating across regions and functions to ensure alignment on programs and priorities in this area.

Section 3: Experience and Education

  • A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of related operations experience in the areas of planning / materials management, logistics, inventory control and sourcing / procurement is required.
  • MBA or equivalent master's degree is desirable.
  • APICS certification is highly preferred.
  • Process Excellence certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong Financial Acumen or financial experience is highly preferred.

  • Understanding of end of end supply chain interactions and interdependencies.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Strong strategic vision on planning processes and inventory management.
  • 5+ years' experience in a supply chain role involving supply and / or demand planning.
  • Leadership / supervisory experience is a must with proven experience in leading teams.
  • Sound Knowledge of ERP system, MRP, APS, DP, and MS Excel.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to influence / collaborate at all levels in the organization.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
