Job Description ????       Job Title: High School Economics Teacher Division / Department: Academic Reporting to:  Associate Principal Job Location: Qingdao, China Direct Report: None                  Overall Description
High School Economics Teacher to instruct Economic classes.
Major Responsibilities
1. Assume teacher responsibilities including classroom instruction, homeroom mentor, product team advisor, co-curricular sponsor, and curriculum development.
2. Support enrichment program.
3. Participate in International Baccalaureate teacher training.
4. Develop school curriculum.
5. Support an international focus across the curriculum, cross-disciplinary planning and inquiry based learning within a block schedule.
6. Meet instructional and compliance requirements of the International Baccalaureate program.





QUALIFICATIONS: Valid secondary teaching certificate preferred. Major in Economics and Secondary Teaching Experience is preferred. International living or teaching preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Qualification and certification to teach Economics at the high school and middle school level. Qualification to teach in an additional subject area is preferred.  Interest and qualification to teach in a communicative methodology required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Highly proficient in written and verbal communication with a particular emphasis on subject area, specific competencies and emphatic communications.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:  Ability to use computer technology for research, data management, communications and other instruction.
REASONING ABILITY: Highly proficient in subject areas of: reasoning, problem solving, organizational dynamics and emotional intelligence.
