Job description

RIZZO International, Inc. is seeking an entry level Civil Engineer to join our Pittsburgh, PA office. The ideal candidate will have strong civil engineering design and analytical skills, with experience in dams, levees, spillways, or water resources facilities considered a significant plus. This role includes planning and managing project tasks, supervising technical staff, and collaborating closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Skills & Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects.
  • Supervise work performed by technicians, draftsmen, and other project team members.
  • Perform analysis and design of civil engineering projects; dams and water resource structures experience preferred.
  • Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical figures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project work plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Analyze and interpret field and laboratory data.
  • Prepare technical reports, figures, and tables.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Domestic and occasional international travel as needed.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the QHSE Manual and applicable project procedures.

POSITION SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's Degree counts as 1 year of experience, Ph.D. counts as 2 years).
  • Entry Level - 5 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Experience with dams and water resources projects strongly preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or the ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have U.S. employment authorization.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000 - $110,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
