Overview

An Intern role with Praxis Packaging will be a hands-on role that will offer an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to various projects and activities that are common or indicative of the type of work that an entry level professional would be responsible for working in our industry. The role will also include opportunities to experience and model professional conduct in meetings and company functions. As well as professional networking opportunities and collaboration with other team members and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Work on a variety of cross functional projects
  • Observe current practices and evaluate them for opportunities to learn and potentially create efficiencies
  • Learn current industry and departmental practices to apply them to classroom learning
  • Develop professional habits in the areas of attendance, punctuality, time management, time off, prioritization, note taking and documentation, and positive attitude.

Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of Praxis Packaging Solutions.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current enrollment or recent completion of a degree or certification program that is in line with the function of the Hiring Department is generally required. Previous experience or demonstrated interest in area of expertise may be used as equivalent
  • Detail orientation
  • Ability to both take direction and work independently to find answers and solve problems
  • A strong interest in manufacturing, packaging, or area of departmental expertise is required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and/or other computer systems
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written English instruction and specifications, required
  • Ability to speak, read and write English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, and customers:  to include reading and writing skills to understand and complete necessary customer paperwork, required
