Responsibilities

Overview

Provides integrated primary and psychiatric care to individuals experiencing homelessness and those in supportive housing. Travel across NYC med suites (Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan) required.

Clinical Duties

  • Record vital signs, prepare patients, and perform basic screenings and EKGs.

  • Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.

  • Assist providers with exams/procedures; manage vaccine logs and equipment/supply inventory.

Administrative Duties

  • Handle patient intake, insurance verification, scheduling, faxing, and filing.

  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation (eClinicalWorks).

  • Coordinate specialty referrals, follow-up care, and pharmacy/lab requests.

  • Process prior authorizations and assist with billing/eligibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; MA certification preferred.

  • CPR certification preferred; bilingual skills a plus.

  • Prior experience in primary care or serving underserved populations preferred.

  • Proficiency in EMRs (eClinicalWorks preferred) and MS Office.

  • strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, sit/stand extended periods, and travel between sites.
