Position Overview

We are seeking a Claims Support Specialist II to provide administrative and customer support within a fast-paced claims environment. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates or individuals with a customer service background who are looking to grow their career in insurance and claims operations.

The Claims Support Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams while assisting with claims documentation, administrative processes, and customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the claims department.
  • Answer inbound calls and direct customers to the appropriate resources.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to policyholders, claimants, agents, adjusters, and other stakeholders.
  • Process incoming claims information and enter new loss reports into company systems.
  • Update claims documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute confidential and time-sensitive claim-related documents.
  • Assist with claim file follow-up activities as needed.
  • Handle mail distribution, filing, faxing, scanning, imaging, copying, and other office support tasks.
  • Coordinate meetings and order office supplies.
  • Greet and direct visitors appropriately.
  • Verify policyholder information and assist with claim-related inquiries.
  • Set follow-up activities to ensure timely completion of support tasks.
  • Support operations during weather-related catastrophe events and other high-volume claim periods.
  • Assist with various claims disciplines, including:
    • Material Damage
    • Property Claims
    • Liability Claims
    • Subrogation
    • Workers' Compensation
    • Medical Claims
    • Litigation Support
Required Qualifications

Pay and Benefits
