About the Position
At ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc., our team is at the forefront of innovation, designing and building cutting-edge hydraulic and electrohydraulic components, controls, and brake systems that power off-highway machines around the world. As a Test Engineer, you'll play a critical role in bringing these advanced products to life by collaborating closely with product engineers. You'll dive deep into product requirements and craft comprehensive test plans that ensure our systems perform flawlessly in the toughest conditions.
What you can look forward to as a Mechatronics Test Engineer:
  • Interfacing with product engineering teams
  • Developing and documenting test procedures and equipment
  • Refining existing test methods to replicate real world usage conditions
  • Planning and execution of test plans for product development
  • Evaluating test data, creating reports, and building and qualifying devices using hydraulic and electrohydraulic test fixtures, controls, and data acquisition equipment.
  • Analyzing data and assist with iterative design to meet requirements.
  • Developing test circuits, equipment, software and processes.
  • Performing advanced planning for test programs.

Your Profile as Mechatronics Test Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to research, interpret, and implement test standards, and identify, analyze and solve problems
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, development of 3D models, hydraulic theory and system design
  • Knowledge of automation, instrumentation, control systems, PLC programming and industrial electrical wiring
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW programming
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future.

The expected base compensation for this role is:
Eng I - Mechatronics 65,700 - 82,100 annually.
Eng II - Mechatronics 73,800 - 92,200 annually.
Eng III - Mechatronics 88,200 - 110,300 annually.
Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
