If our mission statement piques your interest, we encourage you to apply for the currently open position of IT Systems amp; Batch Automation Administrator I to work Monday - Friday at our Ogden Branch located at 2605 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT. The IT System amp; Batch Automation Administrator I supports the administration and daily operation of the Bank’s core banking platform and related enterprise applications, with a primary focus on executing and monitoring the daily batch processing cycles under the guidance of senior team members. This entry-level role assists with the stability, availability, and reliability of core banking systems by monitoring daily production operations, batch job execution, and basic system administration tasks, and by escalating exceptions to senior administrators. Operating the Bank’s morning and nightly/end-of-day batch processing for the Fiserv DNA core banking system using the Broadcom Automic automation platform, the position monitors scheduled jobs for completion and escalates failed or delayed jobs to Tier II/III staff, while participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours coverage under supervision. Beyond batch monitoring, the role assists with routine application support tasks, applies documented software updates, and works closely with senior team members, business units, and IT teams to learn operational processes, document procedures, and build toward greater independent ownership of assigned systems. As a secondary function, the role assists with basic day-to-day administration of the Bank’s on-premises infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and virtualized environments, under direction from senior team members.
Qualifications:

Education amp; Experience:
  • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, IT systems, or production/batch operations; internship or help desk experience considered.
Certifications Preferred:
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is advantageous.
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server fundamentals or equivalent coursework is a plus.
  • Relevant technical coursework or industry training is a plus.
Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating
    rating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy concepts.
  • Exposure to VMware or other virtualization platforms is a plus.
  • General understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP).

Regular Duties and Responsibilities:

Core Banking Operations amp; Batch Processing
  • Monitor daily core banking operational processes, including end-of-day (EOD), beginning-of-day (BOD), month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processing, under guidance from senior staff.
  • Assist with basic administration and monitoring of the Broadcom Automic automation platform.
  • Execute and monitor scheduled batch jobs, interfaces, and operational workflows, verifying completion against established checklists.
  • Identify failed, delayed, or hung batch jobs and escalate to Tier II/III administrators for resolution.
  • Assist senior administrators with building and maintaining job flows and dependencies within Automic under supervision.
  • Monitor file transfers and integration points between the core system and downstream applications, reporting failures to senior staff.
  • Assist with validation of system processing, reports, and operational outputs.
  • Maintain and update documentation of batch job schedules and standard operating procedures under guidance.
  • Assist with tracking of batch performance trends and recurring issues.
  • Provide basic production support for core banking applications under senior supervision.
Application amp; Systems Administration
  • Assist senior administrators with support of assigned core banking applications and enterprise systems.
  • Perform routine application maintenance tasks and monitoring as directed.
  • Assist with managing basic application settings, user access requests, and permissions under supervision.
  • Monitor application health and operational metrics, reporting anomalies to senior staff.
  • Assist with testing and deployment of documented software updates and patches under guidance.
  • Maintain system documentation and knowledge articles as assigned.
  • Assist with basic administration and maintenance tasks on Windows Server and Linux systems (secondary function).
  • Support basic user account and security group administration within Active Directory as directed.
  • Assist with monitoring of virtual machines on VMware or Nutanix platforms.
  • Assist with routine system backup verification.
System Upgrades, Releases amp; Change Management
  • Assist with coordination of application upgrades, vendor releases, and maintenance activities under senior guidance.
  • Support the core banking team with basic tasks related to batch impact of system upgrades.
  • Assist with evaluation of vendor updates and system changes for operational impact under senior guidance.
  • Assist with testing and validation activities following system changes.
  • Follow established change management processes for all production changes.

Incident Management amp; Vendor Coordination
  • Assist in responding to production incidents impacting core banking services and batch processing under senior direction.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and document issue details for escalation.
  • Assist with coordination with software vendors and internal technology teams as directed.
  • Log and track vendor support cases through resolution.
  • Escalate incidents promptly to senior staff to minimize operational disruption.

Business Partnership amp; Operational Improvement
  • Assist senior team members in gathering basic operational needs from business teams.
