IT Technician Job Responsibilities

The IT Technician will provide frontline technical support and ensure the reliable operation of the organizations IT systems and infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, responsiveness, and the ability to support both remote and onsite users across a variety of technical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide helpdesk support by responding to user inquiries, diagnosing technical issues, and delivering timely resolutions related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  3. Deliver onsite technical support, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
  4. Set up and deploy new user workstations, including account creation, email configuration, and access permissions.
  5. Maintain and support operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365).
  6. Assist in basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, Wi-Fi access, and LAN infrastructure.
  7. Monitor system performance and escalate complex technical issues to senior IT personnel when necessary.
  8. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patch management, and system backups.
