Job description

The HRIS Specialist is an entry-level role, responsible for maintaining accurate employee data, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and assisting with HRIS system management. This position helps ensure employee information is entered, updated, and audited with accuracy and confidentiality while supporting a smooth employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Data Entry & System Maintenance
  • Enter, update, and maintain employee records in Paylocity (new hires, terminations, job changes, demographic updates).
  • Perform routine audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies in partnership with HR and site leads.
  • Assist with documenting HRIS processes, job aids, and workflows.
  • Support reporting needs, data validation, and system improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information.

Onboarding & Offboarding Support
  • Process new hire entries and ensure all required data is captured accurately.
  • Assist with onboarding tasks such as system setup, document collection, and employee access coordination.
  • Support offboarding activities including system updates, access removal, and record closure.
  • Partner with HR and site leads to ensure timely completion of onboarding/offboarding steps.

HR Administrative Support
  • Respond to employee questions related to HRIS access, self-service functions, and basic HR data inquiries.
  • Assist with generating routine HR reports and validating data.
  • Support compliance and audit activities through organized recordkeeping.
  • Perform additional HRIS or administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field required.
  • 1-2 years of HR, HRIS, administrative, or data entry experience preferred.
  • Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms strongly preferred.
  • Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude will be considered.
