Dewberry's Architecture team is seeking an energetic Entry Level Architect to join our Danville, VA office. The ideal applicant must have completed their architectural degree, experience in the building design field and have started IDP with a goal of registration.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
A designer works under supervision of the Project Architect and/or Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a keen ability to translate design intent into drawings. An ability to communicate (written and verbal) and collaborate is paramount. Qualified candidates should possess strong organizational skills, an ability to formulate, research and ask pertinent questions, and the initiative to take on design or technical challenges. Working as part of a small team, the Designer will have exposure to the full architectural process.

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture from an accredited university required
  • Minimum of (1) summer of internship experience with an architectural firm is required
  • 0 - 1 year of experience preferred
  • Strong design skills and a desire to develop technical expertise
  • Must be proficient in REVIT, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • Rendering abilities and graphic experience a plus
