Job Summary

We are looking for an entry-level IT Analyst to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. They will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and determines and implements solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment to ensure smooth network operation. This position will be required to be on-site.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance (via phone, email, or in person) and support for incoming helpdesk queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems
  • Respond to email messages for customers seeking help
  • Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
  • Keep an eye out for needed updates
  • Support and administer third-party applications
  • Ensure network security and connectivity
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
  • Resolve problems reported by end user
  • Define network policies and procedures
  • Maintain inventory for all hardware and software assets
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems, such as slowness, virus, malware, etc.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), wireless, and other systems.
  • Install or replace computer peripherals for users
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
  • Troubleshoot printing and wireless connectivity


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, MIS or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, including user management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Mac OS.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of LAN/WAN as it relates to TCP/IP, IP addresses, subnet masks, default gateways, etc.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Ability to set up and configure server hardware
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Ability and desire to learn new hardware and software.
  • Familiar with basic peripherals such as telephones, wireless keyboards/mice, Bluetooth headsets, docking stations
  • Process & detailed oriented
  • Must able to be in office 5 days a week
