Position Overview:

The Industrial Engineer leads continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, operational efficiency, and profitability. This position evaluates manufacturing processes, material flow, and workflows while utilizing data analytics to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, improve quality, reduce operating costs, and drive organizational profitability through 5S methodologies.
  • Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes, material flow, and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities, measure the effectiveness of improvements, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance workplace safety, reduce operational risk, and improve ergonomics.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to identify and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standards, and work instructions.


Requirements:

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to lead continuous improvement efforts by influencing others and driving sustainable change.
  • Ability to lead change management initiatives by building consensus and influencing cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable business improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of material flow, workflow design, process optimization, and ergonomics.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience.

Experience and/or Training: Entry-Level with industrial engineering or manufacturing process improvement experience. Experience in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: Lean/Six Sigma experience or certification preferred.
