Sales Development Representative

WHAT WE SEEK

This position serves as a key member on a collaborative team and helps drive sales and execute sales campaigns by researching, prospecting and qualifying leads. A primary contact for prospects and current customers, the Sales Development Representative is an instrumental team member working collaboratively to build the pipeline and bring in new opportunities. The Sales Development Representative reports to the Manager of Sales Development.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Work closely with Sales Teams (SDRs/Account Executives/Account Managers) in all facets of the sales process.
  • Proactively use research, lead databases, and prospecting tools to find potential customers who fit the target profile based on territory focus.
  • Execute on various outbound lead generation campaigns via email & cold calling.
  • Engage and qualify responses.
  • Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives.
  • Utilize Salesforce to establish active communication and engagement with prospects and to generate new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records, logging interactions, and activities as you engage with prospects and customers.
  • Report results to the Manager of Sales Development on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Attend product training and develop an understanding of our product offerings.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, bringing innovative lead generation ideas to weekly meetings.
  • Handle inbound leads, when directed by Manager and Account Executives.
  • Assist with sales projects and campaign activities, as needed.
  • Be a team player and willing to wear multiple hats to support the needs of a dynamic, rapidly growing company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BACKPACK

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Education, preferred
  • 1-2 years of sales and/or classroom experience preferred
  • Experience with leveraging a CRM tool to guide day-to-day activities preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate professionally, persuasively, and confidently over phone and email
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across departments, functions, cultures and time zones
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Highly organized with strong planning and time management skills
  • Creative mindset that can identify solutions and adapt quickly to change
  • Proficiency with computers and programs, including, Salesforce, Zoom, Excel and Google Drive.
