Job description

ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for LACE (Learning Assistance Center for Excellence) assistants for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. LACE assistants are hired on an as-needed basis. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as LACE Assistant assignments become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Lace Assistants in the PTA program are responsible for tutuoring students in theory and application to assist students in developing competency in entry level skills required of a graduate physical therapist assistant. They support the assessment of student learning and report student progress to program coordinator and/or faculty.
QUALIFICATIONS :
  1. Graduate of accredited Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant program and licensed/eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois.
  2. Clinical practice in physical therapy for a minimum of 1 year or equivalent experience. Clinical teaching experience preferred.
  3. Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
  4. Knowledge in use of information technology.

STARTING SALARY: $20.37 per hour, up to 9 hours a week
