Job description

DMG North is a growing company in the evolving field of building commissioning, and we strive to make buildings work better. Specializing in the optimization of complex building systems, our team's diversified skill set provides value to our clients from the design stages of new construction all the way through operating existing buildings. Our consulting group provides a full array of commissioning services for both new and existing buildings, and our technical services group provides start-up services on complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers. As part of the Ambient Enterprises family of brands, the DMG North team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
JOB FUNCTION:
Perform skilled mechanical duties in the startup, repairs, installation, preventive maintenance, and routine servicing of HVAC equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • On site startup technician for various manufactures
  • Troubleshoot installation of control systems
  • Solving issues using reasoning and logic โ€ข Communication with individuals who installed the system
  • Programming of new control system using touchscreens and computers
  • Documentation of actions taken on the job site on service reports โ€ข Understanding and reading wiring diagrams during troubleshooting
  • Completing all startup documentation and sending it to be entered for warranty
  • Perform other duties and assignments.
  • Maintain regular good attendance

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF:
โ€ข Standard practices of the HVAC trade.
โ€ข Theory of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
โ€ข Computer Usage: Basic data entry and ability to navigate the use of email, internet, word processing programs
โ€ข Materials, methods, and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
โ€ข Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration trade. โ€ข Brazing and soldering techniques.
โ€ข Health and safety regulations.
โ€ข Basic record-keeping techniques.
โ€ข Proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
  • Two years of HVAC training program

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid Nevada License
  • Active EPA Universal Technician Certification
