HVAC Controls and Startup Technician

$35-$45 per hour, based on experience

Spokane, WA

Full-Time | Optional 4-Day Work Week!

Legacy Heating & Cooling is expanding its commercial HVAC operations across the Inland Northwest, and we are looking for experienced technicians who want to grow with a company that continues to invest in new projects, advanced systems, and employee development. As our workload and service capabilities continue to grow, we are adding an HVAC Controls and Startup Technician to support commissioning, controls integration, and system startup for commercial HVAC and refrigeration projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform startup and commissioning of commercial HVAC equipment
  • Troubleshoot controls, wiring, and system performance issues
  • Verify proper operation of control sequences and electrical systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Support project completion and quality assurance processes
  • Maintain safety and workmanship standards on job sites

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of HVAC controls or startup experience
  • EPA Certification required
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
  • Strong knowledge of electrical wiring and HVAC controls
  • Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Ability to read technical drawings and control schematics
  • 06A HVAC Electrical License preferred
  • Building automation system experience is a plus
  • NATE Certification or equivalent credentials preferred
