RA Holdings, through our Retro Insulation branch, is looking for an entry-level Mechanical Insulator Helper.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Learn to measure, cut, and install insulation materials on pipes, ducts, and mechanical equipment.
  • Assist with installing insulation on hot and cold systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, and other mechanical systems.
  • Learn to work with different types of insulation materials, including fiberglass, foam, pipe wrap, duct board, and other specialty materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine duct work requirements.
  • Apply insulation to both hot and cold systems, including refrigeration and cold storage.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with building codes and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other trades on construction or retrofit projects.
  • You will work on commercial, industrial, military base, and federal projects as assigned.
  • Attention to detail and precision in cutting and fitting insulation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with design-build projects and construction processes is a plus.


Required Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

  • Must have a Real ID, Social Security, and Birth Certificate documents.
  • Must have a clean background or ability to obtain DBIDS access to work on military bases.
  • Must have a vehicle and Clean Driving Record.
  • Ability to commute to projects within Spring Lake and Sanford, NC area.
  • Previous experience in construction, as an HVAC Helper, or Carpenter Helper would be helpful, but not required.


Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm


Location:

  • Spring Lake/Sanford, NC


Pay:

  • $20–$25/hr+ (Depending on Experience)
