  • Must have prior sales and marketing experience within the healthcare industry
  • Prior Hospice specific experience is preferred

Hospice Care Consultant Job Responsibilities:
  • The Hospice Care Consultant is responsible for interacting and assisting with referrals from healthcare professionals in assisted living communities.
  • Coordinating admissions based on the criteria set out by the Director of Clinical Operations.
  • Review patient referrals, discuss hospice care options with patients and family members, and plan with both the patient and the facility to prepare for hospice care.
  • Development and execution of marketing plans.
  • Participate in committees and on special projects and other related duties.
  • Provide education in-services and other educational opportunities to referral sources.

Hospice Care Consultant Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 3 years previous healthcare experience in hospice, home health, healthcare sales or marketing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem solving skills.
  • A willingness to learn Medicare regulations and related reimbursement issues for hospice and ALF/PC environments.
  • Proficiency/Knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work as a team player within the department and with the clinical and operational teams.
