What is an entry level high ticket appointment setter?

An Entry Level High Ticket Appointment Setter is a professional responsible for reaching out to potential clients, qualifying leads, and scheduling appointments for sales representatives who sell high-value products or services. They typically work in industries like coaching, consulting, or luxury goods, where sales transactions involve significant investments. This role focuses on the early stages of the sales process, using phone calls, emails, or social media to connect with prospects and set up meetings for experienced sales closers. Entry level means that candidates usually do not need extensive prior experience but should have strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level high ticket appointment setter, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level High Ticket Appointment Setter, you need strong communication skills, persuasive sales abilities, and a basic understanding of lead generation and appointment setting processes, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CRM software, online calendar systems, and communication tools like Zoom and email platforms is typically required. Standout candidates are proactive, resilient, and possess excellent active listening and rapport-building skills. These competencies are crucial for consistently securing qualified appointments, fostering client trust, and supporting the sales pipeline in a competitive environment.

What are some common challenges faced by entry level high ticket appointment setters, and how can they be overcome?

Entry-level high ticket appointment setters often face challenges such as handling objections from prospects, managing rejection, and quickly learning the nuances of complex products or services. To overcome these, it's important to actively listen during training, seek regular feedback from experienced team members, and practice objection-handling techniques. Building resilience and maintaining a positive attitude can also help, as well as collaborating closely with sales representatives to understand what makes appointments successful.

Job description

Outside Sales Representative I - Urbandale, IA (Des Moines Metro Market)
Build a Career. Earn Real Money. Grow into Leadership.

At R3 Roofing & Exteriors, we do more than restore homes - we build careers for people who want to lead, earn, and grow. As an Outside Sales Representative I (Setter), you'll work in the field, connecting with homeowners and introducing them to R3's services.

Your role is straightforward: offer complimentary property inspections. You are not responsible for conducting the inspection itself. Once a homeowner agrees, you hand the opportunity off to an Outside Sales Representative II (Closer), who completes the inspection and finalizes the contingency agreement.

This structure lets you focus on what you do best - meeting people, building rapport, and generating high-quality leads that convert into sales.

This is a high-energy, performance-driven role suited to individuals who are competitive, coachable, and ready to grow into future leadership positions. You'll work alongside a motivated team that celebrates success and supports your development every step of the way.

Why You'll Thrive Here

Compensation Plan

  • Weekly Draw: $400 per week, paid back through commissions earned on signed contingencies
  • Contingency Pay: $175 per signed contingency
  • Contract Bonuses (paid at contract signing, based on total contract price):
    • $0 - $24,999: No bonus
    • $25,000 - $39,999: 0.5% of total contract price
    • $40,000+: 0.75% of total contract price

All contract bonuses are paid in addition to the $175 contingency payout.

Career Growth

  • Fast-track promotion into Outside Sales Representative II (Closer) roles
  • We prioritize promoting our leaders from within

Additional Perks

  • Incentives including gift cards, bonuses, and team competitions
  • A supportive, energetic team culture built on accountability and success

What You'll Be Doing

  • Engage with homeowners in residential neighborhoods during designated business hours
  • Offer complimentary property inspections and schedule appointments (the Closer conducts the inspection)
  • Maintain clear communication and a smooth handoff process with your assigned Closer
  • Build trust and deliver excellent customer experiences
  • Generate referrals and repeat business through professionalism and quality service
  • Bring energy, positivity, and a growth-focused mindset to work each day
  • Learn from experienced leaders and advance as you develop

What You Bring

  • A self-driven, motivated attitude - no prior sales experience required
  • Willingness to work outdoors and canvass neighborhoods five days per week
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Coachability and a genuine eagerness to grow
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
