Job description

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician to provide hands-on technical support in a primarily Windows-based environment for a small user group in Illinois. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering responsive desktop assistance, preparing equipment for new and existing staff, and resolving day-to-day technical issues with professionalism. The role focuses on maintaining reliable end-user technology, supporting laptop deployments, and ensuring service requests are addressed efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Provide front-line technical assistance for approximately 12 end users, addressing hardware, software, and access-related issues in a timely manner.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops for employees, ensuring devices are ready for daily business use.
• Troubleshoot Windows-based desktop and laptop problems, identifying root causes and applying effective solutions.
• Manage and respond to service desk tickets, keeping requests organized and users informed throughout the support process.
• Support user account administration tasks within Active Directory, including access updates and basic account maintenance.
• Assist with installation, setup, and ongoing support of Microsoft Windows 10 systems and related workplace technology.
• Deliver general desktop support across a variety of technical needs, helping users remain productive with minimal downtime.• Experience providing help desk or desktop support in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and general Microsoft operating system support.
