Job description

Prime Healthcare is an award-winning health system headquartered in Ontario, California. The Accountant is responsible for maintaining a log of all journal entries and preparing the majority of the journal entries in the general ledger. Responsible for reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Is responsible for the calculating and reconciling depreciation of all the fixed assets accounts. The Accountant is responsible for preparing bank reconciliation on a monthly basis. Prepares annual work papers for year-end audits.


Required qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
2. Working knowledge of windows based personal computers.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and prioritization skills


Preferred qualifications:

1. One or more years of hospital/healthcare accounting/finance experience
2. Proficient in business software applications
3. Full cycle accounting experience

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
