Company Description

KindMind is a mobile app that offers convenient access to mental health treatment, innovative mood tracking, and a wellness community forum. KindMind helps eliminate physical barriers to treatment by putting users face-to-face with licensed clinicians through video-conferencing. Users can track their mood within the app, and discuss mental wellness in the forums. Providers benefit from KindMind by saving on overhead costs and letting us handle scheduling and billing. Most importantly, KindMind aspires to change the way people see mental health. By encouraging others to treat mental health as a priority and part of their overall wellness, KindMind hopes to reduce stigma. By streamlining services, gamifying mood tracking, and encouraging mental health conversations, KindMind hopes to make mental wellness fun, exciting, and easy.

Job Description

Our mental health tech startup would like to bring on a Marketing Intern for next summer. The successful candidate must be pursuing a degree from a major university or college and studying marketing or communications. We're looking for a driven, ambitious individual who wants to create a career in social media and content marketing. We're offering a flexible schedule and the majority of your work will be done remotely, however, we do have lovely office space in the Bronx if you'd like to use it. We will be flexible so that you may continue to take classes in the summer or pursue other opportunities simultaneously. We provide guidance and support, as well as the opportunity to experience working with a fun and passionate startup!

During the summer, most of your tasks will revolve around preparing for the App Store launch of our first app, KindMind. These tasks will include things like social media management, digital content creation, and email marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Take over content creation for all of our company social media accounts, including organizing cross-platform content strategies
  • Assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics
  • Monitor social channels for trending news, ideas, and memes, then capitalize on those trends through our social media accounts
  • Develop new mental health social media campaigns from the ground up
Qualifications
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative
  • Hardworking and dedicated
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
  • Enrollment in a university degree program required
  • Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Experience with content creation a plus, even if not professionally
