Data Center Low Voltage Technician (Entry-Level)Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Data Center Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, or data center operations. The technician will assist with installing, routing, labeling, and organizing network cabling while supporting experienced technicians in a fast-paced data center environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with pulling, routing, and securing copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • Support installation of network racks, cabinets, and cable management systems.
  • Label and organize cabling according to project standards.
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform material handling, inventory counts, and equipment staging.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Follow all site safety requirements and company policies.
  • Assist senior technicians with cable testing and troubleshooting activities.
  • Read and follow simple work instructions, diagrams, and floor plans.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • No prior data center experience required.
  • Experience in construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or other hands-on environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
