Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain databases
• Develop and implement processes for data entry, data formatting, report archiving
• Translate business requirements into data queries, report generations, and charts
• Generate and manage reports, perform data analysis including identifying trends, and provide recommendations.
• Support management in developing and testing project implementations and system enhancements
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reporting logs, document Imaging, and letter generation
• Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to identify and resolve issues
• Audit reports from internal and external systems for accuracy of content and compliance with departmental policies and procedures
• Assist Management with development of process improvement tools and staff training; support staff by resolving escalated issues
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Health Care Analytics, or a related field required
• Minimum three (3) years' experience managing relational databases to include database management and data analysis
• Experience working in the Health Care industry with knowledge of Care Management, Medical, or Hospital claims business operations preferred
• Experience writing system specifications, expert knowledge of relational database concepts (i.e., queries, tables, forms, and reports)
• Demonstrated experience in report generation and data analysis required; ability to identify anomalies, trends, and provide recommendations
• Intermediate skill level of SAS (Statistical Analysis System) required; ability to create, manipulate, and maintain queries used for scheduled and ad-hoc data reporting and analysis
• Advanced skill level of Microsoft Products (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) required, excellent working knowledge of database tables, forms, queries, and reports
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, detailed oriented, ability to work independently
• Excellent time management and project management skills; able to prioritize and multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
